You’re not truly honoring the dead unless you wake all them other fuckers sleeping next to ’em!
I always prefer the Irish wake method of sending off our deceased friends and family. Everyone come around and pay respects to the deceased, pay the respect to the family, enjoy some refreshments to calm down after grieving, then telling stories whether that be heroic, moral teaching moments, or comedic in nature so that the family of the deceased truly understands how much their loved one touch the lives of others and why they are so revered by their friends and community. Then everyone gets drunk all night long playing games, joking around, pranking each other preferably with methods favorite by the deceased, then once everyone is nice and piss drunk at 8:00 a.m. the funeral starts and they are a friend/family member to rest with all of your shenanigans all behind you. Now it’s time for handshakes and hugs so everyone go home and sleep it off!
